Lyrics:

With a purple umber-ella and a fift' cent hat
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman
Missus cool rides out in her aged Cadillac
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman

Chorus:
Come on, babe, on the roundabout, ride on the merry-go-round
We all know what your name is, so you better lay your money down
Alimony, alimony, payin' your bills
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman
When your conscience hits, you knock it back with pills
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman

(Chorus)

Tellin' tall tales of how it used to be
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman
With the butler and the maid and the servants three
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman

Aw, hit it now

(Guitar Solo)

Nobody hears a single word you say
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman
But you'll keep on talkin' till your dyin' day
Livin', lovin', she's just a woman

(Chorus)

Livin', lovin', she's just a woman (x3)

Personal notes: Jimmy Page has said this is his least favorite Led Zeppelin song, but I've always liked it. The first real memory I have of hearing this song was during the Top 50 album countdown I heard on the radio when I was just getting into classic rock. This song just gave me a very sublime feeling of enjoying life and having fun and, partying! I've liked it ever since. However, it is a rather simple song, and even the guitar solo leaves a bit to be desired. I performed this song live once at a coffee den and it was pretty much a flop. As easy as the song was, I kept hitting the wrong notes, the solo didn't come at the right time, the vocals were terrible...maybe this song just wasn't meant to be performed live. In any case, I still like it as it is on Zeppelin's second album.
