Sick Again
feelin' funny in my mind, lord, I believe I'm fixin' to die
I'm lyin' alone in bed, and all I can think to ask is why
the pain cuts me deep, but I still can't seem to cry
I'd like to say I've had my fun, but I never did like to lie
I can't believe the shape I'm in
this isn't the way I should go
turns out I'm sick again
and it feels like I'm goin' down slow
don't bother to send no doctor, doctor can't do no good
you're gonna have to learn to forget me, I wish you would
ain't nobody's fault, but I just ain't feelin' like I should
promise me you'll have some good times, if only you could
I couldn't get my feet off the ground, but soon I'll be flyin'
never did me any good, but I spent my whole life tryin'
and now, to me it seems, I've spent my whole life dyin'
there are times in every man's life, where you just feel like cryin'
I can't believe the shape I'm in
this isn't the way I should go
turns out I'm sick again
and it feels like I'm goin' down slow
life has its share of lessons, the best of us make out by cheating
some people you'll get to know, others won't get past the greeting
pain is universal, and happiness is all too fleeting
when the time for you has come, you'll wish your heart was still beating
I can't believe the shape I'm in
this isn't the way I should go
turns out I'm sick again
and it feels like I'm goin' down slow
I can't believe the shape I'm in
this isn't the way I should go
turns out I'm sick again
and it feels like I'm goin' down slow
