Notes: At WVBU, during the process of training to be a DJ, you're supposed to sit in on a few live shows to get to know your way around the studio - so every once in awhile you'd have someone show up to sit in on the show for a bit. Well, we had a trainee in on this night, and we let him pick the songs for the latter part of the show (I don't exactly remember where he took over, but I know the last few songs, at least, were chosen by him).

Also, I made a point of playing the live version of I Can't Explain by The Who, from the very night that I saw them in concert the previous summer. The band was taping their shows on that tour and offering them up for sale, so that concert-goers could own the show they saw, and that's where I got it. I Can't Explain was the first song The Who played that night I saw them, and Roger Daltrey opened the set by addressing the audience with: "fuck off, all of you", in a sort of humorous, 'this is a fucking rock n roll show', sort of a way. I had to wait until the last half hour of the radio show to play this track because of the rules at WVBU - no swearing or indecent material before 10pm, which is Safe Harbor period.
