Notes: This was a really important night. I am a huge blues fan now, but originally, I only knew of the blues through rock n roll. But there was something about the bluesier rock songs that I would hear that really appealed to me. On a whim, I decided to cull all the bluesy rock songs I could think of, and do a blues-themed night. The show turned out to be fantastic, and the blues-theme became a common tradition for my radio show. This is really the first obvious indication of my exploration into the blues.
After playing Cars Hiss By My Window (a really awesome bluesy deep cut from The Doors), I got a call from a guy that said he was a huge Doors fan and didn't recognize the song I had played, though he really liked it. I told him what it was and that it was on the L.A. Woman album, and he asked if I could play another good Doors track. I tried to think of another bluesy one, and I ended up with Shaman's Blues, which worked out well.
