Notes: The coveted blues show went on hiatus the previous semester, but experienced a strong return this semester. This time, I named the show after my favorite album by Janis Joplin, from which a few tracks would appear. I also preserved the tradition of opening with another version of I Can't Quit You by Led Zeppelin.

In addition to Janis Joplin, you can see that with the purchase of the BBC Sessions album, my eyes finally opened to the bluesy brilliance of the genius Peter Green. My appreciation would only grow from here. There's also some Michael Bloomfield, from the Super Session album and one of the live albums from the subsequent tour. My appreciation for Michael Bloomfield would also grow immensely from here. You've also got some Johnny Winter, who I was also getting into, including an awesome version of It's My Own Fault that Winter performed while a guest at Bloomfield and Kooper's one live show - in fact, that appearance was what earned him a recording contract, as the story goes.

Miller's Blues is an incredible blues from Moby Grape's Wow album, which I was probably saving just for this show. Killer version of Help Me by Ten Years After here, from the relatively newly released Fillmore East live album. And then that track by Keith De Groot is a groovy number from an album I picked up on an impulse, that boasted various session musicians including Jimmy Page (I don't think Page played on this particular track, though).
